This Privacy Policy explains how MotionCut(“MotionCut”, “we”, “us”, or “our”) collects, uses, shares, and protects your information when you use the MotionCut mobile application (the “App”) and the website at motioncutai.com(together, the “Services”). By using the Services, you agree to the practices described here.

1. Information We Collect

Account information

When you create an account or sign in, we collect your name and email address. You can sign in with Google or with an email address and password. We do not store your Google password; Google handles that authentication.

Content you provide

To edit your videos, the App processes the videos, images, and text prompts you choose to upload or create. This media is used only to produce the edit you request (see “How Your Videos Are Processed” below).

Purchase information

If you buy a subscription or other in-app purchase, the transaction is processed by Google Play Billing. We receive confirmation of your purchase and subscription status, but we do not receive or store your full payment card details — Google handles payment processing.

Usage, device & diagnostic data

We collect analytics and crash-diagnostic data to keep the App stable and improve it — for example, app interactions and features used, device model, operating-system version, app version, language, approximate region, and crash logs.

2. How We Use Your Information

• Provide, operate, and maintain the Services and the AI editing features.
• Create and manage your account and authenticate you.
• Process your purchases and manage your subscription.
• Provide customer support and respond to your requests.
• Monitor performance, fix bugs, and improve the App and website.
• Detect, prevent, and address security issues, fraud, or abuse.
• Comply with applicable laws and enforce our Terms of Service.

3. How Your Videos Are Processed

MotionCut’s AI editing is powered by Google’s AI APIs. The media and prompts you submit are transmitted to Google’s AI services to generate your edit, and are subject to Google’s applicable terms and privacy policy. Your media is used to fulfil your editing request and is not retained on our servers beyond the time needed to deliver your result. We do not sell your media, and we do not use your personal media to advertise to you.

4. Third-Party Services We Use

We rely on trusted third parties to run the Services. Your information may be processed by them in line with their own privacy policies:

• Google Sign-In / Firebase Authentication — account sign-in.
• Google AI APIs — AI video and image processing.
• Google Analytics for Firebase & Crashlytics — usage analytics and crash diagnostics.
• Google Play Billing — in-app purchases and subscriptions.
• Cloudflare — website hosting and content delivery.

5. How We Share Your Information

We do not sell your personal information. We share information only: (a) with the service providers listed above to operate the Services; (b) when required by law, legal process, or a valid government request; (c) to protect the rights, safety, and security of MotionCut, our users, or the public; or (d) in connection with a business transfer such as a merger or acquisition, subject to this Policy.

6. Data Retention

We keep your account information for as long as your account is active. Uploaded media is processed transiently and not stored long-term by us. You may request deletion of your account and associated data at any time (see “Your Rights”). We may retain limited information where required to comply with legal obligations or resolve disputes.

7. Your Rights

Depending on your location, you may have the right to access, correct, export, or delete your personal data, and to withdraw consent. In particular, you may request deletion of your account and data at any time. To exercise any of these rights, email us at support@motioncutai.com and we will respond within a reasonable time.

8. Children’s Privacy

The Services are not directed to children under the age of 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us personal information, please contact us and we will delete it.

9. Data Security

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your information, including encrypted connections (HTTPS) and reputable infrastructure providers. However, no method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

10. International Data Transfers

We are based in India, and our service providers (such as Google and Cloudflare) may process data in other countries. Where data is transferred internationally, we take steps to ensure it remains protected in accordance with this Policy and applicable law.

11. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the “Last updated” date above and, where appropriate, notify you within the App or on the website. Your continued use of the Services after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Policy.

12. Governing Law

This Policy is governed by the laws of India, including the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, as applicable. Any disputes are subject to the jurisdiction of the courts of India.
