Delete Your Account

This page explains how to request deletion of your MotionCut account and the data associated with it. MotionCut is the AI video-editing app published by MotionCut, available on Google Play and at motioncutai.com. If you no longer wish to use MotionCut, you can ask us to delete your account at any time using the steps below.

How to Request Account Deletion

To request that your MotionCut account and associated data be deleted, follow these steps:

1. Send an email to support@motioncutai.com from the email address linked to your MotionCut account.
2. Use the subject line “Delete my account”.
3. In the message, include the email address (and name) associated with your account so we can locate it. You do not need to give a reason.
4. We will verify the request from your account email and confirm by reply. Your account and eligible data are then deleted, normally within 30 days of verification.

That email address is the single, dedicated channel for deletion requests — there is no charge, and you may submit a request whether or not you currently have an active subscription.

Deleting Only Some of Your Data

You don’t have to delete your whole account. If you only want to remove specific data — such as particular videos, projects, or saved content — while keeping your MotionCut account active, email support@motioncutai.com with the subject “Delete specific data” and tell us which items you want removed. We will delete only those items and leave the rest of your account and data intact.

What Data Is Deleted

When your deletion request is completed, we remove:

• Your account profile — name and email address.
• Your sign-in identifiers (Google Sign-In / Firebase Authentication record for MotionCut).
• Any projects, preferences, and settings saved to your account.
• Usage and analytics data tied to your account identifier.

The videos, images, and prompts you submit for editing are processed transiently to produce your result and are not stored on our servers long-term, so there is no media library for us to delete after the fact.

What Data Is Kept, and For How Long

After deletion, we retain only the limited information we are legally required to keep:

• Purchase and subscription records. In-app purchases are handled by Google Play Billing; we do not store your payment-card details. We retain limited transaction and subscription records (such as order confirmations and billing history) for up to 7 years, or as otherwise required to comply with tax, accounting, and legal obligations.
• Anonymized / aggregated analytics that can no longer be linked to you may be retained to understand overall app performance.
• Information we must keep to comply with the law, resolve disputes, or enforce our agreements, for as long as legally necessary.

Once the applicable retention period ends, this information is deleted or remains in anonymized form only.
